By 2021-08-26June 16th, 2025community, Featured, licensing, News, standards, Webinar

This webinar had two parts:

In Part 1, Carlo Piana and Alberto Pianon from Array Law discussed the adoption and use of ISO/IEC 5230 for the OpenHarmony and openEuler operating systems. Originating from China, these operating systems provide platforms for enterprise, consumer electronics, automotive and more. Their use of the OpenChain ISO/IEC 5230 for open source license compliance underlines a commitment to excellence in open source compliance progress management. The unique aspect of this case study is the adoption of our standard for open source license compliance by a project ecosystem, rather than a single organization.

In Part 2, Helpful Engineering discussed open innovation in the pandemic response with a focus on governance. Their case study included examining an open source license violation and how it was addressed.
