OpenChain Ambassadors

OpenChain Ambassadors are official advocates within the OpenChain Project helping build a more trusted supply chain. They are a point of contact for new participants, and can help connect the community with knowledge and solutions. They provide support, training, mentorship and guidance to help:

  • With OpenChain community through local meetups, events, and content
  • Foster strong community collaboration and relationships
  • Attract and welcome new community participants
  • Provide feedback to the OpenChain Governing Board about community programs and initiatives
  • Advocate OpenChain best practices and OpenChain initiatives around the world

Joining the OpenChain Ambassadors Program:

Please note: as we have just launched the program, we are not actively recruiting new ambassadors. However, we will be expanding the program over time.

Requirements

Program requirements for becoming an official OpenChain Ambassador are:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must follow The Linux Foundation Events Code Of Conduct
  • Must comply with LF antitrust policy
  • Must meet AT LEAST ONE of the following criteria:
    • Be an active contributor to a OpenChain initiative (Study Groups, Work Groups, Meetings, etc.)
    • By nominated by an OpenChain Platinum Member or OpenChain Study Group / Work Group Chair
    • Be an OpenChain Local Organizer
    • Be a active leader in the OpenChain community with a minimum of 1 year of experience in:
      • Organizing events (virtual/in-person)
      • Speaking at events
      • Mentoring others
      • Creating content (e.g., blogs, videos, etc.)

What is the process for becoming an Ambassador?

To become an OpenChain Ambassador, an individual must review and meet the current requirements. We invite you to submit your application for consideration if you meet the requirements.

Is being an OpenChain Ambassador a paid position?

No, being an OpenChain Ambassador is not a paid position. However, OpenChain Ambassadors will receive rewards like limited edition swag and exclusive discounts.

How long does my ambassadorship last?

All ambassadorships will be a two-year commitment. For example, an Ambassador accepted in November 2025 will be an Ambassador until November 2027.
